About Me

Hello and Welcome, 

My name is Stu or Stooooo (it's a name I received in high school) or StooBBQ. I'm a middle age father of 4 who had his life turned upside during the year 2020. However this massive upheaval started before the shit hit the fan in March, 2020. You see only a few days after celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary I suffered what the doctors term 2 minor heart attacks. Good news though after a bunch of tests I only have a 40% blockage, so I need to lower my blood pressure, reduce stress and lose weight.

So knowing I would need help recovering, I had my son and his girlfriend at the time move in. Not a good idea when you objective is to reduce stress, but I thought having my son back living under my roof would make me feel better. Besides my wife wanted someone home with me while I was recovering and at the time the kids were still in school.

Fast forward two weeks and we start to keep my middle son home from school (2020 was his senior year). He has a weak immune system, so he is considered high risk. Two more weeks and we are now in full lockdown and in the midst of a full-blown pandemic. Needless to say that for the first time in a very, very long time I have nothing to do. Luckily for me my wife is an RN and was able to work the whole time.

Fast forward 6-7 months and I've now had the opportunity to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. I never thought back when this whole thing started that I would be looking for a new career. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back to doing what I was doing before all hell broke loose and 2020 happened. Not going to get into that right now.

So what is StooBBQ? Well that is hard to say. It has changed several times already which I will explain along the way. Hopefully you'll join me on this journey.
